In November 2018, luxury British cruise brand, Cunard will embark on its first Voyage of Genealogy.

Cunard, in association with Ancestry, is offering their guests a once in a lifetime opportunity to trace and follow their family’s history on board the iconic Queen Mary 2.
The voyage, ‘A Journey of Genealogy in Association with Ancestry’ departs Southampton on 4 November 2018 and arrives in New York on 11 November will uncover new family histories from crew, senior officers and guests. 

Everyone has a fascinating story. Whilst on board, guests will have many opportunities with Ancestry experts to find out more about who they are and where they come from. The Ancestry genealogists will be available to help travelers understand how their DNA can help answer questions about their heritage and how Ancestry’s professional genealogists help celebrities uncover their own family stories.

There will be also inspiring guest speakers during the voyage including, Mary-Ann Ochota, TV presenter and anthropologist.

Once in New York, guests can continue their journey of genealogy by joining the Ellis Island Ancestral Trail. Ellis Island tells the story of the journey of millions of men, women and children from around the world who sought new opportunities and a gateway to the new world. Guests can explore downtown Manhattan, learning about the early history of New York and the populations that settled there.
