About Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises, marked with an X on the ships’ stacks, is characterized by elegance and international atmosphere on midsized ships. Extraordinary itineraries are even interesting for experienced travelers. Although the atmosphere in the daytime is very casual, the dress code “Smart Casual” is required on the so-called “Chic Evenings”. Most ships are designed very classy but the Solstice Class convinces its guests with an innovative design. Basic skills in English are recommended if you want to travel with Celebrity Cruises.

The Ship

Celebrity Xpedition is one of the few ships you can reach the Galapagos islands with. During the expeditions cruises, the 98 passengers are cared for at the cruise lines’ best.

All cabins are furnished functionally and comfortablly. All staterooms have unlimited ocean view, but the staterooms on the lowest deck are only provided with bull’s-eyes instead of windows. The suites on the top deck even have there own balcony.

Atmosphere on Board

Due to the size of the ship, the atmosphere is very relaxed and rather casual. It is all about the experience of the islands, which is underlined by the number of specially trained guides (1 guide per 14 passengers).

Food and Beverages

The cuisine is affected by regional specialities as freshly caught fish, local fruits and vegetables. There is an open seating in the restaurant which allows you to eat when and with whom you want to.

Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation

On board readings are held and there are entertainment programms suiting the size of the ship. In the center of the daily programms are the shore and land excursions, which are included in the cruise price. It is possible to borrow snorkelling equipment, wetsuits and binoculars for free.

On Celebrity Xpedition there is a sauna and a small spa, where massages* and cosmetical treatments* are offered. Besides, there is a jacuzzi on board.

* Additional fee.

Our Summary

Celebrity Xpedition is the perfect ship for an unforgettable experience around the galapagos islands. Early bookings are recommended, because the few staterooms are often book years in advance already.
